Manchester United youngster Joe Hugill has revealed that the addition of Ruud van Nisteroy to his backroom staff has helped the team immensely, especially with a youngster like himself.

The 20-year-old scored in the 2-0 friendly win over Rangers last time out and is hoping to be more involved this year after spending last season on loan at Burton, UFABET with Ruud joining his backroom staff a huge asset, particularly for the younger players.

“We’ve been doing some shooting drills and he’s given us a few tips,” Hugill said.

“Obviously having Ruud here is massive. For someone like me who is young and coming through, having him at the club to ask questions is massive.”

When asked about Ruud’s advice, Hugill said: “Both in possession and out of possession, with possession what a striker has to do, fight there and when you’re in front of goal you have to be calm.”

“It’s very important (to score early in the season), especially when you’re a striker. You want to score every game but the reality is it’s not going to happen. Scoring in pre-season gives you a good start.”

“My aim this summer is to work hard, stay fit, try to impress the boss and the coaching staff and see how things go.”
